Who are you?

Glad you asked. Hello! I'm NaiNonTheN00b1 (or NaiNonTH, or NoncanbeZaza.) You can call me by my nickname: "Non" for a short go. I'm a student from Thailand who likes playing Minecraft and other games like GTA V, Muse Dash, osu!, and more.

In my free time, I make Minecraft-related projects, such as resource packs like Foliage+, providing a Thai translation to mods like OptiFine, and data packs like Rotatable Crafting Recipes. In addition, I'm an official Faithful add-on contributor as well.

Resource Packs?

In addition to liking Minecraft, I'm also in favor of seeing the game improved in visuals, optimizations, and quality of life via mods and resource packs. I've been creating resource packs since 2021, once I found a modeling software named "Blockbench." I tried using it and got used to it by creating 3D models of crafting stations, leaves, and more; this went on until one day, I modeled grass and types of large ferns and suddenly had an idea of improving all in-game foliage models; this is the beginning of Foliage+, a resource pack that makes foliage better with texture pack compatibility, thanks to the power of inspiration from resource packs and mods I've played.

I published it on the Planet Minecraft Community website and received the first 100 downloads on the first day of the release, which was a huge number to me back then; also, I announced the release of Foliage+ to the Minecraft Thailand Community Facebook group, and members there seemed to be interested in my resource pack; this started the hobby of creating Minecraft-related projects and publishing them on Planet Minecraft in the future.

Mods Thai Translation?

Continue from the time I started making resource packs, I had an idea of translating mods — OptiFine is the first one I came up with. The way I use to translate the OptiFine mod is by making a resource pack that contains the .lang file with translated strings; it worked. I announced it in the same Facebook group I mentioned: Minecraft Thailand Community, and many people were interested in it or even shared it with their friends. I soon published it on Planet Minecraft for better accessibility.

One day, I found out that I can make a pull request on the OptiFine repository on GitHub to let the mod developer merge my .lang file into the mod, starting my job to provide Thai translation to multiple mods, such as Iris, Sodium Extras, No Chat Reports, and more, in the future.

Data Packs?

As of now, I only can make crafting recipe data packs. I started making data packs in 2019 (or 2020) — it was before I began making resource packs. The data pack I made at the time was a data pack that added more crafting recipes that still make sense. However, I only did that just for fun and didn't publish them.

Until the Mid-year of 2022, I had the idea of adding more recipes to the available ones, but with more rotating and flipping variants because crafting only one pattern irritates me a ton. Here comes the beginning of the "Rotatable Crafting Recipes" data pack, published on Planet Minecraft — nobody downloads it, to be honest.
